Important Update from the Superintendent

February 28, 2022

Dear students, staff, families and community,

Many of you may already be aware of this, but I wanted to get this information out to our entire school community as soon as possible.  Today Governor Jay Inslee announced that the mask mandate will be lifted March 11 at 11:59 p.m.  This means masks will not be required as of Saturday, March 12.  There is no school for students on Monday, March 14, so the first day that masks will not be required in school or on buses for Mount Baker students is Tuesday, March 15.

Please understand that Mount Baker School District will follow all K-12 OSPI and DOH guidelines through March 11, including wearing masks in our facilities and on buses. This is only 9 more school days.  Revised K-12 OSPI and DOH guidelines are expected to be released next week.

View Governor Insleeā€™s press release for more information.
