The Mount Baker School District has recently received an outpouring of support from the community, including donations of paper and playground equipment. We are incredibly grateful for these kind gestures and would like to thank everyone who has supported the District, including the Abitia Family, Frost Creek Construction, and Kelley Insurance, to name a few.
The District would also like to reassure the community about the sound financial footing we have established moving forward. Like other districts, Mount Baker faced significant financial challenges. Based on our work with OSPI and our local Educational Service District, the School Board is confident that we have a path forward to continue to operate despite those challenges.
We are fortunate to have strong community support through both the educational programs and operations levy, as well as our capital projects levy. Thank you again, voters, for your continued support through these levies. It is with these levy dollars that the District aims to support students within our current budgets. Please know that while the recent community support is greatly appreciated, the District is on track to continue to operate and have what we need to support our students.
