During February 22-28, 2024, all second grade students in the district will be given an aptitude screener in their regular classrooms. This assessment provides information to help support learning in order to best meet your student’s needs.
Students that score in the top 10% of the screener will continue on to take the complete CogAT assessment:
This assessment will be administered in small groups at your child’s elementary school.
Parents will be notified if the second round of assessment will be given to their student.
The CogAT will be used as one component of the Highly Capable Program referral process.
